Found in a rail scrap yard. Unfortunately it was polished by someone at some point — presumably the person who found it was not aware that it would have been better not to. It's a spike made of pure copper. I do not think this was from an actual rail track, as I believe those were iron or steel, but possibly from a very very ancient one. More likely it was from some other connector or mounting. A sweet piece of memorabilia, store regardless.
